Mercenary Spywares like Pegasus are haunting Apple users from India and 91 other countries

Mercenary spyware like Pegasus are haunting Apple users

On April 10th, Apple notified its users in India and 91 other countries about a possible mercenary spyware attack. This breaches the ‘secure phone’ tag that Apple portrays itself with.

These attacks happen in the form of:

  • After working hours, professional emails from known and/or unknown sources.
  • Dubious attachments from unknown and/or known sources.

Mercenary spyware means those spywares that have been developed to be the best with well-funded developmental programs. They are bought and used by the highest bidder to spy against their competitors and targets.

Good news for the common folks! Since these attacks are money-intensive, they target high-profile resources. But just to be sure, log in to your Apple ID account and see if you find a notification informing you about the hack.

404 vs. 410 status codes, clarification asked of Google after 200 pages with AI content removed

404 status codes
http response codes, 404 vs. 410 status codes

Google recently had to issue a clarification about 404 status codes and 410 status codes. It happened because they had removed 200 pages that had AI content.

Publishers’ of these websites wanted more information about the codes that they were seeing on these pages and also its impact on search engine optimization (SEO).

John Mueller, who is a search advocate for Google, informed them that;

  • The pages that use AI content often forego the quality, genuineness, and value-added aspects of their content.
  • This led to the removal of these pages with 404 and 410 status codes.
  • A 404 status code means that the ‘webpage could not be found’. It will not be penalized but will be dropped from the index.
  • A 410 status code means that the ‘webpage is permanently removed’. It will not be penalized but will be dropped from the index.

Lastly, these removals (404 and 410) will not impact the SEO practices followed and applied on those websites. In short, even if you need help, try to add originality by increasing the quality of the quality of the content and providing value-added features.

 Outsourcing vs. Insourcing

Outsourcing vs Building a team
Outsourcing vs Building a Team

This comparison has plagued the world and has become a vital reason for many companies to lag behind in the race to be number one.

We will keep it brief and help you understand each standpoint before comparing.

Offshore Outsourcing

Outsourcing is the art of professionally handing off a few departments of your organization to be run and managed by third parties. It is of three types:

  • Business process outsourcing (BPO) is used to hand off business processes.
  • Knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) is used to hand off knowledge-intensive departments like financial or legal analysis and more.
  • Information technology outsourcing (ITO) is used to hand off IT-related tasks.

Insourcing

Insourcing is the term given to handing off projects to teams within your company. It might require building a new team with new resources or reshelving old ones.

Outsourcing vs. Insourcing

Now let us compare them.

  Outsourcing Insourcing
Benefits Optimize operations, cost reductions, specific expertise accessibility, and scalability. Organisation’s cultural alignment, boosted collaboration and communication, enhanced oversight and control.
Drawbacks Quality control issues, communication barriers, dependency on the third party, and data security issues. Team conflicts, communication breakdowns, change resistance, and leadership challenges.
Example Getting an app developed by a third-party vendor. Getting an app developed in-house.

Thus, it is best to first assess the confidentiality, priority, and privacy requirements of any project and then choose the best option.

Organizations that use both approaches or a hybrid approach, wherein they have both types of teams, are more flexible and scale faster.

Women empowerment at Loreal via the “Worth It Resume” campaign has gotten celebrity attention

Women empowerment
Loreal Women Empowerment Campaign

Women empowerment is done through the little things and gestures we undertake, be it in our workplace or personal space.

Loreal took the lead and started a campaign on LinkedIn by the name of “Worth It Resume.” It encourages women to share their resumes filled with setbacks, lessons learned, and the successes they led to.

This became so popular that celebrities like Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren, and more shared their stories.

Why was it needed?

It was found out that 81% of women feel more burdened (not to fail) in comparison to men. This forces them to hide their struggles and promote their successes.

This takes away the motivational aspect and pushes women into further torment by hiding and not being able to discuss their challenges.

This campaign gained popularity quickly because it’s helping women become self-reliant and increase their self-esteem, which is in line with Loreal’s commitment.

Top 3 AI stocks in India

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a budding market, and as per Luke Lango, who is a well-known AI tech analyst at Investor Place, 2024 is the year of its boom.

Today, every company is looking for AI options that can supplement and/or augment their work requirements. While the AI developers are raking in huge chunks of market share.

But do not lose hope; even a commoner can make a lot of money by investing in AI stocks.

The top 3 AI stocks to buy are:

  • Microsoft (stock name: MSFT) is a good stock as it has just opened up an AI hub in London, which will be a turbocharger for the AI.
  • Nvidia (stock name: NVDA) is a great stock, as they are planning to discard their chips from previous generations. Their stock has grown more than 1000% since 2019.
  • Alphabet (stock name: GOOG, GOOGL) is a good stock as it is attempting to cover up the gap created by the Gemini products. This can become quite engaging for the general public.

The best option would be to invest in all three of them so that you always stay profitable.
